Scouting Opponents

Here’s an opportunity.  I shot a match  a month ago of one of my teammates on the 4.5 men’s league.  And now I play him in the semi’s of the Denver City Open, Men’s 60’s.  Scouting report:  He’s a clay-courter, slicer and dicer and hit drop shots with deadly accuracy if you ever are behind or even hear the baseline.  Plus he has a great forehand and good movement all over.  Gonna be a tough nut to crack.  But the video does reveal that he does not like slow, high backhands (like many of us!),  and he almost hits that ball back soft and cross court.  So, and a good  play seems to be a loopy ball to the backhand and coming in behind it, looking at the down the line approach.  But he also is anticipating that and has a good cross-court passing shot.  This is probably a pattern he is very used to.   Another interesting aspect is that we both have pulled hamstrings….going to be interesting!
