Ran across this great article at the Huffington Post (whatever that is). Here’s the main headings:
All I Need to Know, I Learned When I Failed Out of College
1. Breakdowns can lead to breakthroughs.
2. It’s not what happens to you, it’s not what happens around you… what really matters is what’s happening INSIDE you.
3. Focusing on the past is like driving a car only looking through the rear view mirror.
4. When you love what you do, you won’t work a day in your life.
5. It’s not how you start, it’s how you finish.

The author was talking about flunking out of college, but really, you can apply this at the micro level to a tennis match. Breakdowns on the court can lead to breakthroughs. Including inside changes. Don’t worry about that last point – learn and move on. Love each point, each one counts. And it’s not over until it’s over. Good stuff.
