Testing the Canon HD RF20 Camcorder

We tried out the Canon HR R20 Camcorder for use in recording tennis matches this weekend and our first impression is that this is an excellent camera for tennis, with a couple of caveats.  Well, maybe only one of real concern – it has a relatively short battery life, about an hour and fifteen minutes. However, if you have power available, you can record as long (literally) as you like. It has 8 gb of built in memory and is capable of taking two additional 32 gb sd cards for a total of 72 gb, or about 20 hours of 720p quality video.

As far as the video itself, it was excellent even with a $20.00 wide angle lens.  The video can be seen by clicking here.

You can record in 60 fps, 1080p if you like (maybe for slow-motion stroke analysis)
